Padstow
Seven miles from Retallack Resort and Spa is the town of Padstow - a busy, 15th century fishing port crammed with pastel and stone cottages, where narrow, cobbled streets lead down to a beautiful harbour.
A few miles along the coast is the busy village of St Merryn with its seven spectacular bays and surfing beaches.
Inland, and amongst beautiful countryside, are pretty rural villages, which include Little Petherick and St.Issey, both near the Camel Valley.
Wadebridge and The Camel Trail
The Camel Trail is an 18 mile, traffic free cycleway which passes through some of the most spectacular countryside in the south west. Following a disused railway line, the cycle runs next to the estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge, continuing through the beautifully wooded Camel Valley to the foot of Bodmin Moor where it comes to an end near Blisland, an extraordinarily pretty moorland village.
The landscape and scenery are striking and access to country and seaside towns offers ample opportunity to use local shops, pubs and visit attractions.
